Community Standards

Most of FaithLog is private — your journals, prayers and Study notes are yours alone. Study Groups are the one place where what you write is seen by other people, and these standards apply there.

What a Study Group is for

Reading a book of the Bible alongside a few others, and sharing notes, questions and reflections about it. Groups are small and private — there is no public feed, no follower counts, and nothing you share is visible outside the group you sent it to.

What is not allowed

Scripture itself deals plainly with violence, grief, sex and despair, and discussing those passages honestly is exactly what a Study Group is for. These standards are about how people treat each other, not about avoiding difficult parts of the Bible.

Reporting something

Every post and reply has a Reportoption, and you can report a member from the group’s member list. Reports go to a person, not an automated system, and we aim to review them within 24 hours. You can also email hello@faithlog.space at any time.

When we review a report we look at the reported content in an authenticated internal tool. The alert that tells us a report exists contains only identifiers — never a copy of the conversation.

Blocking someone

You can block another member from their post, their reply, or the member list. Blocking is private — they are not told. Neither of you will see the other’s posts or replies anywhere in FaithLog, and neither of you will be notified about the other. Blocking does not remove anyone from a group; if you need someone removed, ask the group’s host or report them to us.

What hosts can do

A host can remove a post or a reply from their group, and can remove a member. A host cannot edit what someone else wrote — only the person who wrote something can change it, and an edited message is always marked as edited.

What we do

FaithLog checks posts and replies for slurs, sexually explicit language and link spam as they are shared, and refuses them. That check is a floor, not a judgement of context — reporting is how anything else reaches us.

When a report is upheld we remove the content. Repeated or serious breaches can mean losing access to Study Groups, or to FaithLog.

Your private content is unaffected

Nothing in these standards applies to your journals, prayers or private Study notes. Nothing from those ever enters a Study Group unless you explicitly choose to share it, and moderation never reaches them.
